Executive dysfunction

What is executive dysfunction?

If you are neurodivergent or have a mental health condition, then you will in all likelihood experience Executive Dysfunction. If so, then you will identify with challenges relating to  planning, prioritising, time management, organisation, memory, focusing, motivation, processing, task initiation, communication, and emotion regulation.

What makes My-Prompt special is that it was created by neurodivergent people, for neurodivergent people. And what makes My-Prompt exciting is that when engaged with regularly, it has the potential to help you to improve your executive function.  My-Prompt will help you prioritise, plan, focus, remember and look after your wellbeing.

What is My-Prompt?

Executive function support that works for you

My-Prompt’s features are grounded in gold-standard research into executive dysfunction - and shaped by years of feedback from the neurodivergent and mental health communities.

One user describes the app as being:

All in one place and it feels like it is mine - quite often things are complicated and you fit in - this really felt like it was my app and it was beautifully simple and therefore reflected me rather than me fitting into it. (Vikki)

We’re delighted at the response we have had to My-Prompt and the difference it is already making to so many of you.

Neurodiversity

Who Is My-Prompt for?

There’s a well-known saying, “If you’ve met one autistic person then you’ve met one autistic person,” because all autistic individuals are precisely that - individual.  In our experience this saying also applies to other members of neurodivergent communities.  We are all shaped by our unique personalities, our relationships - past and present - our education and our life experiences.

Many of us would also say that our strengths and difficulties fluctuate according to context. And yet something that is enduring and unites those from ADHD, AuDHD, ASC, SpLD, Mental Health and Brain Injury communities are those challenges that arise out of Executive Dysfunction.

If this resonates with you and if you want support in managing difficulties relating to Emotion Regulation, Cognitive Flexibility, Working Memory and Inhibitory Control then My-Prompt is for you.

My-Prompt Plus

Pair the app with a qualified specialist

The My-Prompt app is only the start of your journey in managing and improving your executive function.  My-Prompt Plus takes your support to the next level.  My-Prompt Plus combines the digital tool with a My-Prompt Specialist who will provide you with personalised coaching to help you to achieve your full potential.  All of our specialists are accredited executive function coaches with qualifications in mental health and neurodiversity.

Together you'll work on the areas that research shows make the biggest difference: time management and productivity, successful prioritising, addressing procrastination, making and sustaining behaviour change, raising self-esteem, and effective communication.

Your specialist will discuss with you the areas that you most want to target and will then provide you with 1-1 sessions that will help you to understand why you are experiencing particular challenges and the strategies that are right for you.

The My-Prompt Journal

Multisensory by design

The My-Prompt Journal complements specialist coaching. Multisensory strategies are central to how neurodivergent brains learn and remember, and writing carries unique emotional and cognitive benefits the keyboard can't replicate.

It's a quiet, private space to externalise what's in your head — so working memory has room for the task in front of you.

What our users say

I love the rewards. Ticking tasks off and seeing my timeline of what I've achieved keeps me coming back every day.
Caroline
For the first time, someone really understands me. My specialist gets dyspraxia and the anxiety that comes with it — and the app helps me stay motivated and set goals I'll actually finish.
Owain
It's the only AT I haven't given up on. It's quick, easy to pick up, and doesn't get in the way when I'm trying to work.
Rachel
I wasn't sure at first. I'd tried assistive tech before and given up, but the revision methods and memory techniques have genuinely changed how I study.
Rhys
For the first time I feel like my ADHD is under control. The reminders, cost/value tools and the Pomodoro timer have made a real difference.
